Let's Book A Session!

Step 1 -

Contact me

Let's chat! I'd love to have the opportunity to hear from you, so all of my session bookings go directly through me. That way you have a chance to ask me any questions you might have.

Step 2 -

Iron out the details

Together we can set up the details for your session 

  • Location

    • I have a wonderful list of possible locations around the Kansas City area that I'm happy to send your way if you're needing some ideas.​

  • Time of day

    • For outdoor sessions I personally like the time just around sunrise or about an hour or so before sunset. The lighting is typically easier to manipulate because of how directional it is. But if you need the session to be at another time in the day we can make it work.

    • For indoor sessions I usually like mid morning or mid afternoon.

  • Date

    • Please make sure the date you pick will work for you and your family. I schedule my time away from my family around my sessions, so unless there is crazy weather I will not plan on canceling the shoot. ​

  • Add-Ons

    • Horses - ​For an additional $50 horses can be added to Senior, Engagement and Side Quest sessions. There are a variety of colors and sizes of horses to match your vision.

    • Time - If you feel like you need more time for your session that can be added for an additional fee.

    • Outfits - If you are interested in changing outfits, that does take extra time and will be an additional $25 if it is not included in your session. 

    • Other - We can definitely customize a session that is unique for you if you don't see what you're looking for on my services.

Step 3 -

Pay your booking fee

Your booking fee can be paid through either Venmo or PayPal

  • A nonrefundable $50 booking fee is due at the time of booking and is deducted from the total cost of the shoot. The booking fee is to secure your specific date and time that I can no longer offer other clients. Due to the potential loss of business, if you need to change your booked session for personal reasons, there will be an additional booking fee charged to secure your new session date and time. 

  • If inclement weather is expected on your session date, we’ll work together to reschedule for a new date that works for both of us. Your booking fee will seamlessly transfer to the rescheduled session.

  • Your date is not secured until your booking fee has been paid.

Step 4 -

The week of your session

  • The week of your session:

    • I’ll reach out to touch base, go over any final details, and make sure we’re all set for your photos.

    • I’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather throughout the week and will communicate if anything looks questionable—because no one wants photos taken in the middle of a rainstorm.

    • If you have any last-minute questions, outfit concerns, or anything at all you’re unsure about, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help.

  • The day of your session:

    • The remaining balance for your session will be due prior to or at the time of your shoot.

Step 5 -

After your session

  • You can expect your completed album within  2 - 3 weeks after your session

    • I'll plan on sending you some sneak peeks before I've completed your session

  • I'll send you a link to your password protected album

    • I would suggest downloading your complete album to a secure location

    • You should also be able to download individual photos to your phone
